The seventh round, back in established Touring Car country, attracted a healthy crowd as well as a number of local cars to boost numbers. The German organisers also took the initiative by opting to run the round over two heats in an attempt to hold interest. Jeff Allam started the first heat from pole and won the start but predictable Wolf engine problems soon saw him slipping back as Ludwig and Dieudonné forced their way through into the lead. Percy took over third in the Nissan and seemed set for the finish when a drive shaft broke, allowing Grouillard into the minor position. |
