Brno was back on the calendar after quite some years, welcomed the ETCC troop with enthusiasm as usual. The track was changed considerably. The entry consisted of a trio of 4-valve BMW (two Schnitzer, one Alpina), two Zakspeed Escorts, two 2-valve BMW, a Jolly Club Escort - and 20 other cars with limited potential. The Schnitzer cars took the lead - first car to retire was the Arm/Keller car. Quester dropped back when he hit a Skoda; Brun surprised his pit crew when he came in too early. Peltier took the lead, but was passed by Zondler. Lap 25: Zondler in the lead, followed by Müller and Krebs. |
