The first visit for IMSA at the Road Atlanta circuit showed that Gregg really was at home at this place. After the start, pole sitter Greenwood went into the lead, while Gregg made an error and had to start the fight from 15th place. Greenwood’s lead lasted for 18 laps, his retirement brought Harrington in the Camaro at the front, closely followed by Kwech’s Capri. Gregg joined in to make it a trio, but soon the fight was over when the Camaro made a series of pit stops while Kwech made only one - but unplanned and quite long. So Gregg won, Kwech still second and Keyser third. |
