One week before the Italian GP, the longest race so far for the GT championship took place. The two Kremer Carrera’s had a 1-2, and Schickentanz moved ahead in the championship standings. Initially, the race was led by the De Tomaso of Gero/Gallo, but they suffered problems which could be cured swiftly enough to enable them a third place in the end.
