Frank Gardner did it again. The Boss Mustang scored its third convincing win at Thruxton, and now Gardner leads the RAC championship, for on this occasion the unlikely happened and Chris Craft's Broad-speed Escort TC retired very early in the race with no gears - not his day. The 2-litre class went to Rod Mansfield's Team Diamond TC after an excellent drive, and John Fitz-patrick (Broadspeed Escort GT) and Bill McGovern (Bevan Imp) once again won the smaller sections with ease. |
