With one race still to go, it was Donohue who claimed the championship. But is was never easy: Parnelli Jones was supposed to stop for fuel only once where Mark would need two! The Penske fuel stops were slick as ever, but without a puncture for Parnelli Jones the Camaro would never have won this race.
