Openingsraces 1976

Huub Vermeulen had to start the season with the ex-Avenir Commodore, awaiting the Mazda RX3.
A new car for Rien Frankenhout: the Vauxhall Magnum.
Group 1 under 1300 cc
Zwaanenburg leading a bunch of Simcas. Carel van de Oever leading I suppose Derr and another bloke.
Zwaanenburg finished second.
Group 1 under 2500 cc
This must have been a fascinating race, but I don't remember all of it since I was probably freezing my .... off - it was very cold. Lammers leading Nijsten and Houthuyzen, the latter duo still together at Tarzan...
... and on the back of the track. In the end, it was Houthuyzen (30) who won, Nijsten finished third... ... while Lammers' first non-Simca race brought him second place. This season, he would have his debut in FF1600; the rest is history.
Group 1 over 2500 cc; Group 2 and 4 under 1300 cc
This must be shortly after the start of the race. A group with van der Beek, Bolderheij, Laplume and Plasmeijer amongst others.
Redeker here leads Cleutjens, but that wouldn't last long.
Slotemaker ahead of Cleutjens before his ignition played up. Cleutjens would win the race in his Alpine 1300, a sensible choice for the new group 2/4. Unfortunately, the class would change to Group 5 for 1977...
This is Hans Visser in his ex-van Oorschot NSU; a highly illegal car, it would be disqualified in the next race and never return to the track in 1976.
Van der Beek fighting with Plasmeijer, they would finish their class in this order.
The Daf still going strong.
Group 2 and 4 over 1300 cc
Deen had a fine victory over the eight-car field with his Corvette.
Rubens finished second and had fastest lap, just under 1.40. A good thing there was no Porsche 934 around - that would have easily reached 1.36... Vanierschot won his class (but he was the only starter) with obvious enjoyment.
Tjan finished third overall in the new 280 ZG, but again this car was no match for a Porsche 934.
Vermeulen with the Commodore finished fifth overall, behind Vanierschot. While Dahmen finished sixth.
This Luigi car was piloted by Corbisier - it only ran for nine laps, enough for seventh overall.
